Julia Simmons is a board-certified pediatrician and accomplished healthcare leader with over two decades of combined experience in pediatric hospital medicine and primary care. She currently serves as a pediatric hospitalist and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Simmons earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana, her Doctor of Medicine from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, and her MBA from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital, where she later held numerous leadership roles. Throughout her career, Dr. Simmons has contributed to quality improvement, clinical leadership, and healthcare innovation. She has served on numerous hospital committees and advisory boards.

What is telemedicine?
Telemedicine is a medical visit with a provider using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. A web camera and video enabled device allows audio and visual for the visit.
Who can be seen by Show-Me State Pediatrics?
The physicians evaluate and treat children from birth to 18 years of age. Due to licensing requirements, the child must physically be located in the state where the physician is licensed.
What conditions do the physicians treat?
Please call 911 if you have a medical emergency!
The physicians treat minor medical illnesses such as:
